1. Who We Are

OnlyOdds (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website worldcup.onlyodds.co.uk. We are a UK-based odds comparison service. For any privacy-related queries, contact us at privacy@onlyodds.co.uk.

2. Data We Collect

OnlyOdds does not require registration, login or any form submission. We do not collect your name, email address, payment details or any other directly identifying personal data.

We do collect limited non-personal data automatically when you visit the site:

  • Analytics data — page views, session duration, referral source, device type, browser and operating system. Collected via Google Analytics 4 (through Google Tag Manager) to understand site usage and improve the service.
  • Session recordings and heatmaps — anonymised interaction data (mouse movements, clicks, scrolling) collected via Microsoft Clarity to help us understand how visitors use the site and identify usability issues.
  • Server logs — IP address, request URL, timestamp and user-agent string. Retained for security and operational purposes.

3. Lawful Basis for Processing

Under UK GDPR, we process the data described above on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — specifically, to maintain and improve a free public website, detect abuse and ensure site security. We have assessed that these interests do not override your rights given the limited and largely anonymous nature of the data.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

5. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third-party processors:

  • Google (Analytics 4, Tag Manager) — analytics and tag management. Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States under Google's Data Processing Terms and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
  • Microsoft (Clarity) — session replay and heatmaps. Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States under Microsoft's Data Protection Addendum.
  • Google Cloud Platform — website hosting and infrastructure. Servers located in the EU/US.

We do not sell, rent or otherwise share your data with any other third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Affiliate Links

When you click a bookmaker link on OnlyOdds, you are redirected to that bookmaker's website via our server-side redirect. The bookmaker may then set their own cookies and collect data subject to their own privacy policy. We may earn an affiliate commission if you subsequently register or place a bet. This commercial relationship does not affect how we rank or display odds — the best price always appears first regardless of commission rates.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

8. Data Retention

Analytics data is retained for 14 months (Google Analytics default). Server logs are retained for 90 days. Microsoft Clarity session data is retained for 30 days. We do not retain any directly identifying personal data beyond these periods.

9. Children

OnlyOdds is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

11. Supervisory Authority

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
